This policy applies to a private, self-hosted Actual Budget instance used with Enable Banking for personal finance synchronization.
Who operates this service
This Actual Budget instance is operated privately by the owner of the hackxit.com domain for personal homelab use. It is not a public financial service, SaaS product, broker, bank, or payment provider.
Data processed
When bank synchronization is enabled, the service may process data returned by Enable Banking and connected banks, including:
- bank and account identifiers, names, currencies, and balances;
- transaction dates, amounts, descriptions, counterparties, references, and related metadata;
- consent/session metadata needed to connect to the selected bank.
Purpose of processing
The data is used only to import, categorize, reconcile, and review personal budgeting data inside the self-hosted Actual Budget instance.
Storage and access
Budget data is stored on the operator's self-hosted Actual Budget server and associated self-managed infrastructure. Access is restricted to the operator's authenticated Actual Budget account and infrastructure administration tools.
Sharing
Data is not sold or shared for advertising. Data may be transmitted to Enable Banking and the selected bank as necessary to perform bank synchronization. Infrastructure providers, such as Cloudflare for this static legal site and domain/TLS services, may process normal technical request metadata.
Retention and deletion
Budget and bank synchronization data is retained while the Actual Budget instance and connected budget files are maintained. Data can be deleted by removing the relevant budget data from Actual Budget and backups according to the operator's backup lifecycle.
Revoking bank access
Bank synchronization consent can be revoked through the bank, Enable Banking, or by disconnecting/removing the linked account in Actual Budget.
